James R. Dunigan was born in Jonesboro AR, in 1959. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Sharon, and they have three children. Two are grown and one lives at home.

James has been preaching full time since September of 1994 when he retired from active duty with the U.S. Navy. To date he has worked for the Merritt Island church of Christ in Merritt Island, FL., the Needmore church of Christ in Haleyville, AL., the Bald Knob church of Christ in Bald Knob, AR., and the Park Hill church of Christ in Fort Smith, AR., where he has been since March 2004.
